Speakeasy Communications Secure VoIP Softswitch

Speakeasy Communications Ltd (Speakeasy) announced today that it had signed a agreement with leading telecommunications solutions provider Voipswitch INC. to secure VoIP switching infrastructure and network management systems capability.
The main activity of the Voipswitch INC. corporation is the creation of enhanced software that enables the utilization of Voip service delivery for Voice calls. The infrastructure includes is a session controller with complimentary modules that create, which along with the additional modules, creates coherent, efficient and easy to manage platform.
The Speakeasy business model is to provide VoIP (Voice over the Internet protocol) based PC, Mobile and Landline calling services using the Voipswitch platform with Speakeasy’s own proprietary software to deliver the tailored NGN portfolio of Speakeasy services.
Based on hardware supplied by Dell Corporation the Speakeasy Voipswitch will initially have a switching capacity of 30 million voice minutes per month.
Speakeasy intends to launch its new services in late 2007 following extensive alpha beta trials involving global overseas consumers that should conclude in the September 2007.
